H.C. Smith
December 3, 1932 - November 16, 2017H.C. Smith, 84, of Corbin passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Baptist Health Corbin. Born December 3, 1932, in Whitley County, he was the son of the late Steely and Lora Smith.
He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and the Teamster Union and also enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by three siblings: R.C. Smith, Evelyn Rapier, and Maxine Felts.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Kathleen Skeen Smith; two daughters: Vickie Killion and husband Alfred and Tammy Carter and husband Bruce; one sister: Opal Sears; four grandchildren: Travis Abbott, Deacon Bramlett, Jessica Knight, and Victor Bramlett; and two great grandchildren: Caleb and Jonah Knight. He is also survived by other relatives and numerous friends to mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 19, 2017, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Victor Bramlett and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Sunday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

Posted at 21:30h, 19 NovemberI am very sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Smith. My family and I went to church with him and his family for years where we all were regular attendees. My prays are with Kathleen and his daughters, Vicki, Tammy; and grandchildren. He and them were all good Christian people.
