June Olivia Engle, 90, passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Beech Tree Manor in Jellico, TN.  

Born December 4, 1927, in Jensen, KY, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Woodmancy “Mance” and Bessie Green.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel D. Engle and eight siblings: Walter Green, Ernest Green, Samuel Green, McKinley “Bill” Green, Ruby Engle, Lina Collett, Lucy Saylor, and Pansy Prewitt.

She is survived by her son, Darryl (Norma) Engle; two daughters: LaDonna (Denny) Bowman and Danelle Engle; two grandchildren: Brittney Bowman and Brandon Bowman; great granddaughter, Bella Bowman; brother, Hendren “Hank” Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends to celebrate her life.

She was a feisty, independent lady who loved life whether it was spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, writing poetry, or enjoying her animals.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, February 9, 2018, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. John F. “Finn” Laws, Jr.,  officiating.  Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery in Knox County.

The family will receive friends from 1 – 3 P.M. Friday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    I am so dearly sorry for your family’s loss. Please accept my condolences to your family, death of a loved one is never easy to accept. Our Creator, Jehovah God has made a promise to end death forever; this promise can be found in his Word the Bible at Rev. 21:3 & 4.
    Please visit http://www.jw.org and find satisfying answers as to why we die and what we can do to see our loved ones again; resurrected in a paradise right here on earth. Again, please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss. I pray that you and your family find comfort in this sure promise from our Creator.
