Peggy Moore

December 12, 1944 - April 20, 2015

Peggy Moore, 70, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015.  She was the owner of The Quality Shop in Corbin for over 23 years.  She was a member of the Corbin Chamber of Commerce, the Tri-County Business and Professional Women’s Club, and the Beta Sigma Pi for 25 years, receiving the Silver Circle Award.

Born December 12, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Ruby Cobb.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Thomas Moore; two daughters: Kellie Steeley and husband Darin and Kristie Whitehead and husband Scott; three grandchildren: Sarah, Jake, Annelise, and Avery; one brother: Danny Russell “Rusty” Cobb and wife Jana; niece: Amber Cobb Lykins, and nephew: Aaron Cobb, along with other relatives and numerous friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, April 27, 2015, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.  Burial will follow in Resthaven Cemetery.

The family of Peggy Moore will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at 4:00 P.M. Monday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    Our condolences to the family and friends during the loss of this special lady. Tom and Peggy have been an active part of Lake Region Village in Florida for several years and we were saddened to hear about her passing. She was the kind of person who was always willing to jump in and do whatever needed to be done. We will miss her and the big bright smile.     I was so sorry to learn of Peggy’s passing. She was in the same class with my brother, J.C. Stewart, at CHS, and they were good friends.     Phyllis Stidham wants to express her deepest of sympathies for your family! She was not aware of Peggy’s passing, and is deeply saddened. She has many fond memories of spending time with Peggy and her family. She will be missed dearly.
