William Clyde Wells
May 24, 1925 - December 26, 2013William Clyde Wells, 88, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Oak Tree Hospital in Corbin, KY. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a member of Frankfort Baptist Church.
Born May 24, 1925, in Corbin, he was the son of the late William Burgess Wells and Sara Alice (Alsip) Wells.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lyda Mae (Gibbs) Wells. Survivors include one daughter, Joy Etta (Wells) Young and husband George Lee Young; three grandchildren: Valarie Leigh (Young) Cook and husband Tim Cook, George Lee Young, Jr., and wife Robin (Jones) Young, and Jillian Lenore Young, all of Cincinnati, OH; three great-grandchildren: Timothy Wayne Cook, Benjamin Thatcher Young, and Claire Alexandra Young, as well as numerous friends, all who mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, December 30, 2013, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery with military honors by the D.A.V. Chapters 158 & 66.
The family of William Clyde Wells will receive friends Sunday from 5:30-8:00 P.M. at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
