Robert “Bob” Stewart, 87, of London, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in the morning hours of January 18, 2026. He was born on March 6, 1938, in Corbin, Kentucky.
Bob was of the Baptist faith and lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. He enjoyed playing ping pong, shooting pool, and a game of basketball, and he was a lifelong fan of the University of Kentucky athletics, especially Kentucky basketball. Above all, Bob loved his family fiercely and cherished time spent with friends and loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Ethel Stewart; his brother, Harris “Tootie” Stewart; and his sister, Patsy Gothot.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Janice Ann Stewart; his sons, Robert Michael Stewart (Liz) and James Edward Stewart (Nora); grandchildren, Taylor Stewart, Mariah Thomas, and Piper James Stewart; and great-grandchildren, Eli Thomas, Emma Thomas, and Joplin Stewart.
Additional survivors include his sister, Billie Wyatt; his brothers, Don Stewart (Phyllis) and Jerry Stewart (Karla); and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and close friends.
The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Hart Funeral Home, 1011 Master Street, Corbin, Kentucky. A Celebration of Life service will follow immediately after visitation with James Hodge officiating. A graveside service will be held at McFarland Cemetery at a later date.

I have never known them to be anything but happy, loving, giving, fully living life! I am sorry how far apart we live now but I have not and will not forget the impact he and Jan have on me.
