June Jackson Smith, 76, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2026. She was born on November 8, 1949, in Corbin, Kentucky, to the late John and Helen Jackson.
June was a proud graduate of Corbin High School, class of 1967. On June 1, 1968, she married the love of her life, David Lee Smith. Together they shared 57 years of marriage and were blessed with three children: Teresa, Michael, and John.
June had a deep love for books and movies and especially enjoyed watching her beloved Korean dramas with subtitles. Above all else, she cherished time spent with her family and friends. She was known for her warm heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
June was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and “Mamaw June” to all who knew her. She was a loyal and faithful servant of Jesus, and many who knew her would often say she had a direct line to God. Her faith, kindness, and quiet strength left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband, David Smith; daughter Teresa Bunch; sons: Michael Smith and wife Diana, and John Smith and wife Cheryl; grandchildren: Jeffery Manasmith, Will Ward (Nate), Corbin Smith and wife Alix, Caroline Smith (Garrett), and Gavin Smith; great-grandchildren: Ava Smith and Everleigh Smith; sisters: Patsy Rogers and Joann Fisk; brothers: Jerry Jackson and wife Sue, and Jeff Jackson and wife Donna; and her loving Aunt Janice Taylor.
In addition to her parents, June was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herb and Dora Taylor; uncle, William Taylor; and brother-in-law, Larry Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 29, 2026, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with John Minton officiating. Interment will follow in Worley Cemetery at Corbin, Kentucky, with Michael Smith, John Smith, and Garrett Kirby serving as pallbearers, and Jeffery Manasmith, Will Ward, Corbin Smith, and Gavin Smith as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 12 – 2 P.M. at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
June’s life was a blessing, her memory a treasure, and her love remains forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
