Amanda Shelvie Jackson, 44, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026, at Baptist Health Corbin. She was born on December 1, 1981.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Toby Franklin Ryan Foster; her maternal grandparents, Homer and Flora Sexton; her paternal grandfather, William Foster; her nephew, Jacoby Phillips; and her sister-in-law, Pamela Renee Jackson.
Amanda leaves behind her loving husband of 17 years, Chad Jackson; her children: Caitlin Shelvie Strunk (Brian Keith Strunk), Sara Elain King, Olivia Emma King, Annabelle Amelia King, and James Wyatt Holder; her grandchildren: Payton Brylee Strunk and Ellie Annalee Strunk; father, Frank Shelvie Foster; her mother, Kimberly Foster; her sister, Chasie Foster (Bobby Phillips); her mother-in-law, LaRene Ridings (Robert Ridings); and her father-in-law, Charles Jackson. She is also survived by several other relatives, many friends, and her work family at Whitley County EMS, where she served as director.
Amanda had a zest for life. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family and friends, and she especially enjoyed traveling the open ocean on a cruise ship.
She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Charlie Humfleet officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
