Terry Lee Jordan was born on May 28, 1950, in Bimble, Kentucky. Terry was the son of the late Braxton Jordan and Effie Jordan Peacock. He graduated from Lynn Camp High School in 1969, and then went on to become a Machinist for CSX, where he retired after 37 years.
In May 1970, he married the love of his life, Sharon Valentine Jordan. They were married for 56 years and raised three children. He was blessed with a large family and a house filled with love.
His love of football led him to help coach the Lynn Camp Wildcats for over 25 years. His dedication was made evident by the number of lives he touched. The respect, teamwork, and integrity continue to live on in the lives of those he coached.
Terry was a member of Indian Gap Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He will be remembered for the dedication and love he had for his church.
If you knew Terry, you knew joy. Whether he was fishing, telling a story, or making people laugh, he always had a way of making everyone feel like a friend. He never met a stranger and made sure everyone was taken care of. His smile was contagious, his laughter was unforgettable, and his heart was one of the biggest anyone could ever be blessed to know.
Terry was truly the life of the party, always ready with a joke, a hug, or a helping hand. Above everything else, Terry loved his family. They were his greatest pride and the center of his world. The memories he created, the wisdom he shared, and the love he gave so freely will remain in their hearts forever.
Although our hearts are broken, we rejoice in knowing that Terry heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.” While his presence will be deeply missed, we are so thankful that he is no longer suffering.
Terry is survived by his wife, Sharon; his son, Rob Jordan (Katrina); daughters, Heather Kissinger (Keith), and Cathi Monhollen (Shawn); grandchildren, Tanner Jordan (Jimberly), Tristan Jordan (Sydney), Keira Monhollen, Steven Kissinger, Seth Kissinger, Kaylee Kissinger, and Kaden Kissinger; and great-grandchildren, Tillie Jordan, Hazel Jordan, and Trace Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jeff Jordan, and an infant sister.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM, with the funeral service following at 1 PM at Hart Funeral Home with Pastors Randy Johnson and Daniel Alsip officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, located at 149 Calvary Cemetery Road in Corbin.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Indian Gap Missionary Baptist Church and mailed to 93 Boone Way Street Corbin, KY 40701
