Eva Lee Miracle, 85, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at Greg and Noreen Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
She was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
Born May 22, 1941, in London, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Tilford and Stella Mullins. In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Evans, and her brother, Ronald Mullins.
She leaves behind her husband of 22 years, Thomas Miracle; son, Wes Evans; step-children, Pamela (Barry) Brooking, Anthony (Jennifer) Miracle, and Kimberly (Woodrow) Gray; and five grandchildren.
Eva Lee grew up on a farm and loved that life. She was a graduate of Bush High School and Sue Bennett College; at both schools, she played basketball, scoring as the “high point man.” She was a retired teacher, having taught at Beech Grove Elementary School in Kenton County and then at Campground Elementary and Cold Hill Elementary in Laurel County. Meanwhile, she had a fondness for antiques and amassed quite a collection over the years.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, July 3, 2026, at Poplar Grove Baptist Church in Corbin, Kentucky, with Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 1:00 P.M. Friday also at Poplar Grove Baptist Church.
