Pearl Day
September 14, 1935 - January 25, 2020Pearl Day, 84, of Keavy passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020, at his home. Born September 14, 1935, in Leslie County, he was the son of the late Troy and Harriet Day.
Pearl was a member of the Keavy Church of Christ. An outdoorsman, he immensely enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his loving wife and soulmate of 45 years, Betty Lewis Day, and his sister, Julie Causey.
He leaves behind three daughters: Sandra Bernet and husband Mark, Debbie Powell and husband Donnie, and Darlene Litteral; six grandchildren: Caitlin Bernet, Ryan Bernet, Daniel Bernet, Matthew Powell, Jason Powell, and Brooke Litteral; four great grandchildren: Maya Mullins, Annabelle Powell, Natalie Powell, and Blake Powell; brother, Robert Day; sister, Emily Adams; his church family; hunting and fishing buddies; other relatives; numerous friends; and wife Amanda and her sons, Dewayne and George. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Tuesday, January 28, 2020, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Danny Day, Jim Day, and Bill Browning officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Powell, Jason Powell, Ryan Bernet, Daniel Bernett, Grant Collett, Willis Lewis, Mark Roark, and Clarence Causey.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
