Virgil Lee Ellison, Jr.
March 21, 1969 - September 10, 2024Virgil Lee Ellison, Jr., passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at his home in Corbin, Kentucky. Born March 21, 1969, in Lexington, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Virgil and Joyce Ellison.
Virgil was a member of 19th Street Church of Christ.
He was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, spoiling them. He was also well known for his generosity, patience, and “easygoing” nature. He also had a strong interest in football and basketball and enjoyed following the games of the UK Wildcats.
Virgil leaves behind his loving wife, Trena Ellison; children: Michael Ellison, Sarah Ellison, Jessica Ellison, Keira Wooley, Jonathan Caudill (Michelle), and Rachel Cox (Kelly); six grandchildren; and other extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 19th Street Church of Christ in Corbin, Kentucky, with David Scott officiating.
Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M.
