Darvin Frederick Wells
May 17, 1933 - September 26, 2024Darvin Frederick Wells, 91, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Laurel Heights Nursing Home in London, Kentucky. Born May 17, 1933, in Corbin, he was the son of the late Hayden and Bessie Wells.
In addition to his father and mother, Darvin was preceded in death by his wife, Valerie Sue Wells; daughter, Darva Dianne Gibbs; son-in-law, John Bill Gibbs; and sister, Janice Gregory.
Darvin was a member of Bacon Creek Baptist Church where he pastored for many years. His ministry spanned over 60 years.
He is survived by his nephew, Kevin Gregory and wife Annette of London, Kentucky; great-nephew, Joey Gregory and wife Bailee; of Corbin, Kentucky; great-nephew, Chris Gregory of London, Kentucky; other relatives; and his church family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 30, 2024, at Bacon Creek Baptist Church in Corbin with Tim Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery with John Reeder, David Roaden, Rob Hash, Mark Eaton, Joey Gregory, and Chris Gregory serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. Monday at Bacon Creek Baptist Church, located at 284 Bacon Creek Road Corbin, KY 40701.
