
Felix Brock
January 4, 1941 - April 8, 2025Felix Brock, 84, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. Born January 4, 1941, in the hills of Hyden, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Alex Brock, Sr., and Lily Ethel Hall Brock.
At the early age of 16 years, Felix traded his favorite mule for a Stella Guitar. He enjoyed his first Bluegrass concert with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs playing and singing on the back of an old pick-up truck. This experience sparked Felix’s love for Bluegrass Gospel Music. After that time, Felix played and/or sang on various stages with many Bluegrass pickers. He had many musical accomplishments.
Felix worked for TECO Coal and retired in January 1993. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
In addition to his father and mother, Felix was preceded in death by his loving wife of 45 years, Anna Faye Lee Brock; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Julie Brock; sister and brother-in-law, Fannie and Walter Collett; two infant children: Darrell and Darlene Brock; and brother-in-law A.D. Nolan.
Survivors include his son, Dallas Brock and wife, Donna; grandson, Dallas L. Brock, Jr., and wife, Anna; granddaughter, Chelsey S. Brock Woods and husband, Zachary; great-grandson, Keegan Brock; step-grandson, Warren Woods; three brothers: Alex Brock, Jr., and wife, Kathy, George Brock, and Walter D. Brock and wife, Renea; three sisters: Shelby Jean Nolan; Linda Mae Morgan and husband, Ralph; and Carolyn Sue Brock; and two best friends: Donna Gayle Wooten and Roy Hill, to mourn his passing.
A homegoing service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April 14, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with James Hodge and Jerry Setser officiating. He will be laid to rest in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 2:00 P.M. Monday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin, Kentucky 40701.
