Alma Louise Cox Haddock
August 14, 1937 - January 18, 2025Alma Louise Cox Haddock of Corbin, KY, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2025. She was born August 14, 1937, in Corbin, KY, to the late Brad and Lucy Jane Cox.
Her life was shaped by her deep love for others and her boundless enthusiasm for living fully. She had an enduring appreciation for the beauty of nature, often finding peace and joy in the outdoors. Some of her most cherished moments were spent on long evening walks, where she embraced the beauty of a sunset or moonrise, listening to the birds, feeling the breeze, and finding comfort in the quiet rhythm of her steps. She found joy in life’s simplest pleasures–a heartfelt conversation, a shared meal, an exciting board game, or the laughter of family and friends gathered together. Her warmth, kindness, and resilience made a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. And though she is gone, she will never truly leave us–she is here in every smile, in every memory, and in every act of kindness we carry forward in her name. As we say goodbye, let us honor her by living in a way that reflects all the goodness she brought into the world. Let us live boldly. Let us love fiercely.
She was preceded in death by sisters Leona Cox Bennett (Lester), Mildred Cox McCowan, Imogene Cox Bennett (Norman), and Betty Cox Clay (Manuel); brothers Boyd Cox, Hubert Cox (Juanita), Billy Cox (Judy), and Omer Cox (Dixie); and grandson Robbie Alsip.
She is survived by her sister, Ellen Cox Mitchell (Dean); sons, Brad Caudill (Barbara) and Ricky Haddock; daughters, Judy Caudill, Linda Caudill Campbell, Vicky Kersey (Vince), and Ellen Michelle Kersey (Ryan); grandchildren, Tracy Alsip, Jamie Scalf Holler (Dustin), Chrystal Scalf Miller, Harley Campbell, Dylan Kersey, Kara Kersey Phillips (Taen), and Henry Kersey.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 25, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Friends will be received from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour.
Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery with Vince Kersey, Ryan Kersey, Taen Phillips, Dylan Kersey, Doug Bennett, Shawn Bennett, David Cox, and Bodie Cox serving as pallbearers; honorary pallbearers are Brad Caudill and Ricky Haddock.
