Bernice Tillman
January 14, 1952 - May 17, 2025Bernice Smith Tillman, 73, passed away the morning of Saturday, May 17, 2025, alongside her husband, Bobby. She was the daughter of the late John and Nannie Smith. She was preceded in death by brothers: Elmer Smith, William Smith, Beve “B.C.” Smith, Anderson “Chug” Smith, and Dexter Smith; sister, Martha Smith Mills; and brothers-in-law: Arnold Mills and Roger Crawford.
Bernice is survived by her daughter, Heather Fries, and grandchildren Faris and Luke Fries; sisters: Susan (Orville) Warren, Louise Crawford, and Ann (Bob) Lewis; brothers: Reed (Syreda) Smith, Richard (Ethel) Smith, and John (Debbie) Smith.
She was a devoted homemaker who loved her family, her church, and her many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, May 23, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Sam Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Candle Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 3 P.M. Friday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, Kentucky 40701.
