Bill Ray Parker, 70, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the University of Kentucky Hospital.  Born October 12, 1954, in Rockholds, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Carlie W. Parker and Maggie Bess Parker.

In addition to his father and mother, Bill was preceded in death by two brothers: Edward Parker and Robert Parker.

Bill leaves behind his beloved and loving family: his wife, Kathyrn Parker; son, Daniel Parker (Casey); son, Carlie Parker (Alene); daughter, Sarah Poore; step-son, Greg Davis; grandchildren: Rhagan Pridemore, Emilee Grace Poore, Eliza Faith Poore, Carlie Nicholas Parker, Briana Davis, Abbey Davis, Kaden Davis, and Addison Davis; great-grandson, Easton Pridemore; and two brothers: Larry Parker (Peanut) and Nick Parker (Rose).  He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.

A man who loved his family, Bill will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  Described as a “phenomenal cook” by his family, he often prepared his family’s favorite foods: biscuits and gravy, fruit salad, and chili.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and camping.

Bill was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Saturday, September 27, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Vernon Jones officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 P.M. Saturday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    One of the best men i have ever known .. it never mattered when or where I saw him he always the same man friendly and genuine and happy to talk to me. Much love to his family
