
Della Mae Lumpkins
August 22, 1933 - May 18, 2025
Della Mae Jackson Lumpkins, 91, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2025. Born August 22, 1933, she was the daughter of the late George Jackson and Sidney Brock Jackson.
In addition to her father and mother, Mae was preceded in death by her husband Zachary Lumpkins; four brothers: Cova Jackson, Chester Jackson, Charlie Jackson, and Rufus Jackson; six sisters: Ellen Jackson, Fannie Jackson, Ophie Joseph, Geneva Gross, Hannah North, and Ethel Curry; special sister-in-law, Margaret Curry Jackson; 12 half brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Linda Faye Lowe, whom she raised as a daughter, and several nieces and nephews, who loved her unconditionally and hold a place in their hearts for her, are left to mourn her passing.
Mae was a homemaker who loved the Lord, her family, and her friends. She would help anyone in any way she could. She also enjoyed gardening and talking about it.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at Cox Cemetery with James Fee officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dwayne Kelly, Curtis Kelly, Ryan Harris, Justin Farmer, Sammy Brock, and Jason Scott.
Hart Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

And those were the my best memories I have in my heart. I’ll never forget how loved I felt all those years ago. Mary and I can’t wait to see you and the rest of our family again in Heaven

Posted at 11:04h, 21 MayI grew up on Hazel Fork road where May and her husband lived. They were such a loving couple. A bunch of us kids would go out to their home everyday after school.
We enjoyed talking to them.
She will be missed by all who loved her.
I saw her many years ago and I don’t know if she remembered .me or not. Loved them

Posted at 10:06h, 23 MayMae was such a sweet humble lady. I grew up on Hazel fork she was like family. I actually always called her Aunt Mae so she was family. I know heaven got a little sweeter and what a reunion she had with her loving soulmate Zack.
