Donald C. Robinson
April 10, 1926 - December 23, 2024Donald C. “Don” Robinson, 98, passed away Monday, December 23, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital in London, Kentucky. Born April 10, 1926, in Richmond, Indiana, he was the son of the late Luke and Lillie Robinson.
In addition to his father and mother, Don was preceded in death by his wife, Olivia Robinson; grandson, Barry Combs; and brother, Gene Robinson.
He leaves behind his daughter, Denise Combs (Carlos) of Hazard, Kentucky; son, Stuart Robinson (Marcee) of Corbin, Kentucky; grandchildren: Kevin Combs, Hannah Davis (Kyrk), Caitlin Robinson (Kevin Mitchell), Michaela Hopper, Madison Moran (Jaxxon), and Morgan Morris (Taylor); three great-grandchildren: Savannah, Matt, and Mason; sister, Barbara Hodge; three nieces: Debbie, Mitzi, and Kim; and nephew, Ron. Other relatives and friends also survive him.
Don was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Corbin, Kentucky, where he had served as a Sunday school teacher and a deacon. He was retired from the Social Security Administration as a district supervisor. He was a well-respected community member for various roles he held over the years: president of the Corbin Rotary Club, board member of the Baptist Housing Authority, board member of Corbin Library Board, and board member of Cumberland River Comprehensive Center.
Don was loved dearly and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held privately under the direction of Hart Funeral Home, followed by a private interment in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church 401 North Laurel Avenue Corbin, Kentucky 40701.
