Evalee Stanfill Roaden
September 30, 1925 - February 1, 2014Evalee Roaden, age 88, of Corbin, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Continue Care Hospital with her family by her side.
A member of Central Baptist Church, she led a full and joyous life. Known for her various crafts and unique decorations, she was an artist in every sense of the word. Her family, especially her grandchildren, fondly remember the delicious meals she cooked. Due to her love for children, she collected dolls and was the whole neighborhood’s “Mom.”
She was preceded in death by her parents Cecil and Rose Stanfill and two sisters, Irene McFarland and Dorothy Sullivan.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 63 years, Heskel Roaden; her loving children and their spouses, Alan (Vicky) Roaden; Tina (John) Way; grandchildren: Tyler, Jason, Andria, and Allie Roaden, and Brooke Way; 1 great-grandson, Dillan Roaden; special niece and nephew, Patricia (Bob) Wendell and Glen (Cathy) Sullivan.
She leaves behind other family members and many friends, all to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 4, 2014, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Cemetery.
The family of Evalee Roaden will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master St., Corbin.
