
Henry Matt Rogers
February 4, 1946 - October 20, 2025Henry Matt Rogers, 79, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Monday, October 20, 2025. Born February 4, 1946, he was the son of the late William and Burtha Rogers.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by five sisters: Mary “Von” Mullins, Gladys Hensley, Ginger Fledge, Louise Mullins, and Joyce Rogers; and four brothers: Billy Ray Rogers, Carlos Rogers, Lee Rogers, and Oscar Rogers.
Henry was a lifelong mechanic who could fix just about anything. Known to many as “Fix It Pa,” he always had a little grease on his hands and a big heart ready to help anyone in need.
An avid outdoorsman, Henry loved deer, squirrel, and turkey hunting. He also enjoyed boating and fishing on Laurel Lake. His days were often filled with laughter, stories, and time spent with those he loved most.
Throughout his life, Henry earned many nicknames from the people who knew him best – Hank, H.M., or simply H – but no matter what name he was called, he was always the same, kind, dependable man.
Henry leaves behind two daughters: Lisa Philllimeano and husband Dominic of Newport, North Carolina, and Tira Rogers and husband Phillip Partin of Corbin, Kentucky; two granddaughters: Ashley Karr and husband Jesse Karr of Corbin, Kentucky, and Bridgett Horsley and fiancé Jacob Karr of Corbin, Kentucky; three great-grandchildren: Kendra Moore, Payden Karr, and Raelynn Karr; one sister: Orpha Smith; and one brother: Roy Rogers. He is also survived by a large circle of family and friends who will forever cherish his memory and the many moments of laughter they shared.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 24, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Sean Disney officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery with Jesse Karr, Jacob Karr, Phillip Partin, Draven Fuller, Josh Bradley, and Daelan Partin serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Friday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
