Jack G. Poff
October 15, 1931 - June 11, 2022Jack G. Poff, 90, of Corbin passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022. Born October 15, 1931, in Artemus, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Joe and Callie Poff.
Jack served in the Korean War as a United States Marine and went on to retire from the Air Force. Later he worked and retired from the FAA as a radar technician.
Golfing, fishing, gardening, and playing Bridge were some of Jack’s favorite interests. However, he loved his family most and enjoyed spending time with them.
In addition to his father and mother, Jack was preceded in death by 12 siblings (four of whom died in childhood): William Dallas, Arthur, Wayman Dennis, Hildreth, Mildred Noreen, Cleda Mae, Gladys Emma, Vencil, Everett Earl, Theo Genell, James Clifford, and Donald Lee; and by his daughter, Karen.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 38 years, Linda Y. Poff; three children: Mark Poff, Eric Poff, and Janet Poff; two step-sons: Mike Glenn (Faye) and Larry Glenn (Diana); sister, Bobbie Joe Davis; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many other relatives and numerous friends.
Jack was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
A memorial visitation will be held from 1 – 3 P.M. Thursday, June 16, 2022, at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
