Jewell Faye Smith Goodman
February 21, 1929 - September 9, 2021Jewell Faye Smith Goodman, 92, of Corbin passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Jewell was born February 21, 1929, in Whitley County to Cora Ellen Hubbs Smith and Matt Smith.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Pagliarulo; her mother, Cora Ellen Barton; father, Matt Smith; sisters: Ruby Johnson and Eula Jane Miles; brothers: Archie Smith, Les Smith, Lee Smith, and Ray Smith.
Jewell leaves behind three sons: Kenneth Jones, Jr. (Brenda) of Corbin, Bill Jones (Violet) of Corbin, and Mike Jones (Dianne) of Eubank, Kentucky; a special friend, Eldridge Fugate of Corbin; 11 grandchildren: Nicole Langford (Tony) of Knoxville, Tennessee, Billy Jones of Richmond, Randy Jones (Shonda) of Corbin, Frankie Pagliarulo (Stina) of Illinois, Kenny Jones (Tammy) of Corbin, Jennifer Jones of Pulaski County, Chris Pagliarulo (Kim) of Illinois, Lisa McQueen (Doug) of Lincoln County, Christie Guinn (Tommy) of Corbin, Casey Horton (Angela) of Lincoln County, and Kelly Brown (Jason) of Pulaski County; 28 great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are her son-in-law, Frank Pagliarulo of Illinois; sisters: Clotene Campbell of Corbin and Wilma Sweeney of Michigan; brother, Clyde Smith of Indiana, and many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
A special “thank you” is extended to Jewell’s caregivers, Tonya Wilson and Angel Hall.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 12, 2021, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Billy Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Sunday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

Posted at 15:30h, 12 SeptemberAunt Jewell was the sister of my mother Ruby and they were very close. I grew up with the love of my my Aunts and was blessed with their kindness and love. I know that my values and strengths are because of the examples they made in my life.
Aunt Jewell will be missed by many and left a remarkable journey legacy of a strong and beautiful woman.
