Juanita Henderlight
December 4, 1922 - May 17, 2016Juanita Henderlight, 93, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016.
She was a life-long member of the First Church of the Nazarene and a past member of the Convivial Homemakers. Also, she served as a nurse at Corbin Hospital and in the office of Dr. Elmer Prewitt, and, as well, performed many private duty assignments.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mayford “Connie” Henderlight; her parents Y.H. and Beulah Farmer; grandson, Mark Henderlight; brother, Martin “Son” Farmer; sister, Constance West; and sons-in-law: Jerry Calia and Wesley Lovitt.
Survivors include her four children: Phillip R. Henderlight of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Mary Calia of Lexington; Janice Reid and husband Ed of East Bernstadt, and Susan Lovitt of Palatka, FL; seven grandchildren: Gerald Calia and wife Melissa, Stephanie Calia, Letitia Maynard and husband Brian all of Lexington, Trae Lovitt and Sarah Lovitt both of Rossville, GA, Chris Reid and wife Brittany of East Bernstadt, and Shari Sevier of Corbin; and nine great grandchildren, as well as many nephews and nieces, other relatives, and numerous friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 20, 2016, at the First Church of the Nazarene in Corbin. Pastor Lonnie Storms and Pastor Chris Gilmore will officiate. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 P.M. Thursday at Hart Funeral Home and from 11 A.M. until the funeral hour at Noon on Friday at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be the senior adult Sunday school class at the Frist Church of the Nazarene, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hill, Mr. and Mrs. Mario Cima, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Mays, Jared Lockhart, Weston Reid, and Colin Kendrick. Active pallbearers will be Gerald Calia, Trae Lovitt, Chris Reid, Cole Lockhart, Ed Reid, and Brandon Calia.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made to the Gideons International or the First Church of the Nazarene.
