Lenville Clay Elliott
March 12, 1949 - June 18, 2015Lenville Clay Elliott, 66, of Corbin departed this life Thursday, June 18, 2015, at Baptist Health Corbin with his family by his side.
Clay was born March 12, 1949, to the late Steelie and Bessie Wells Elliott. He was the husband of Chestina Wyatt Elliott.
He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and also attended East Side Church of God with his family. He was also a member of Mountain Lodge #187 F. & A.M.
After retiring from CSX Railroad, he enjoyed hunting and spending time on the farm with his son and grandsons.
In addition to his parents, Clay was preceded in death by a brother Earnest Arnold Elliott, a sister Morene Taylor, and a nephew Steve McCreary.
Survivors include his wife, his son Brian Elliott (Angie), three grandsons: Jeremy, Jordan, and Joshua Elliott, a sister Ella McCreary (Russell), and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin. Family will receive friends from 6 – 9 P.M. Masonic rites will begin at 7:30 P.M.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at East Side Church of God with Pastors Randall Lee, Vernon Morris, Glenn Wilson, and B.J. McKinney officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Leon Smith, Arlin Prewitt, Jerry Hubbard, Russell McCreary, and Paul McCoy. Pallbearers will be Kenny Whitaker, Bennie Taylor, Otis Reeder, Carl Bolton, Billy Parks, Richard Stevens, Vernon Mills, and Carson Strunk.
Burial will follow in Wells Cemetery at Woodbine, KY.
