Lester Estep

October 21, 1953 - March 5, 2025

Lester Estep, 71, of Keavy, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025.  Born October 21, 1953, he was the son of the late Alex and Sudie Estep.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Estep.

Lester was a member of New Hope Community Church.  He was a master carpenter and especially enjoyed making things for his family.  He also made steeples for churches in the community.  He enjoyed working on constructing The Palace Family Entertainment Center in London, Kentucky.  He also worked on building projects at Wings and Rings.

Known to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as “Baby Deer,” he enjoyed playing with them and making them laugh.  He loved his family dearly and his little Yorkie, Sparky.

Lester leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Debra Lynn Estep; son, Fred Estep; daughter, Leslie Tincher and husband, Craig; 10 grandchildren: Reece Tincher, Gavin Tincher, Sierra Knuckles, Cassidy Alsip, Hayley Helton, Presley Estep, Dylan Estep, Hailey Anders, Taylor Anders, and Waylon Prewitt; and six great-grandchildren: Jaxon Knuckles, Addalynn Knuckles, Macie Helton, Ezekiel Helton, Enoch Helton, and Jathan Alsip.

Lester was deeply loved and will be missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Delmon Sizemore and Kevin Prince officiating.  Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy, Kentucky.

The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, Kentucky 40701.

    He was a Christian and a wonderful neighbor. I was blessed to know him. Prayers to the family. I love you all. God bless.
