Michael Anthony Cima, Sr.

May 28, 1954 - April 10, 2024

Michael Anthony Cima, Sr., 69, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed to eternal life on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.  Born May 28, 1954, in London, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Armondo “Archie” and Marie Cima.

In addition to his father and mother, Mike was preceded in death by two brothers: Mario Cima and John Cima; infant sister, Bernadette Cima; sister-in-law, Jackie Roaden; brother-in-law, Larry Jones; brother-in- law, Eddie Bowling; and nephew, Aaron “Hank” Cima.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Robbie; their children: Michael Cima, Jr., Cameo Cima, Marcus (Rachel) Cima, and Toni (Ian) Hart; grandchildren: Jeremy Cima, Ethan Cima, Aden Cima, Noah Cima, and Isabella Hart; great-grandchildren: Lincoln, Colton, and Loralei Cima; brothers and sisters: Judy Jones, Giulio (Tracy) Cima, Maria (Ray) Disney, Gina (Danny) Valentine, Gino (Laura) Cima, Edmondo (Lisa) Cima, Carmen (Steve) Bohnlein, Armondo “Skeeter” (Karen) Cima II, and Jerry (Staci) Cima; sister-in-law, Beverly Bowling; and brother-in-law, Tony Baker, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other friends and family to mourn his passing.

He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  Mike, along with his childhood sweetheart and wife of 50 years, Robbie, built an amazing life with his greatest accomplishments being his children and grandchildren.  After his career with and the closing of ARCH of Kentucky, Mike, with his father and brothers, founded Gray Metal Company.

Mike was devoted to his faith as an active lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

A sports enthusiast, he was a member of the Redhound Varsity Club and the Corbin Football Hall of Fame.  Most of his social media buddies know his love for the Hounds by his signature “Redhound 32.”  As part of #BBN, he was a proud U.K. Wildcat.

He was a deep thinker, an engaged conversationalist that people often came to for sound advice, laughter in jokes, or unconditional love and support.  He was a people’s person with the biggest heart.  Everyone who met Mike loved him.  He never met a stranger.  Anyone who was lucky to cross paths with him will miss him dearly. Until we meet again, “my friend.”

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Damian Anumba officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. Friday, April 12, 2024, at Hart Funeral Home with the Rosary at 8:00 P.M.
