Oranell Carpenter
October 4, 1940 - August 19, 2023Oranell (Nell) Carpenter, age 82, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Christian Health Center in Corbin, Kentucky. She was born October 4, 1940, in Corbin to Mabel and Russell Bullock.
Nell attended New Hope Church of God with dear friends Russell and Janie Hedrick. She enjoyed Gospel music, and as a young girl, she sang with the Friendly Four Quartet for a weekly Sunday broadcast on WCTT.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Carpenter. Surviving are her son, Russell Parman (Janet); two grandchildren: Josh Parman of Lexington, Kentucky, and Becky Parman of South Whitley County; and brother, Layton Bullock (Peggy).
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2023, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow at Corinth Cemetery in Corbin.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.
