Paul R. Daugherty
June 8, 1954 - April 4, 2025Paul R. Daugherty, 70, of Lily, Kentucky, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025, at his home. Born June 8, 1954, in Harlan, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Earl and Faye Daugherty.
Paul was a member of New Hope Ministries Church of God and the Quail Club.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mike Farmer.
Paul leaves behind his loving, devoted wife, Irene Daugherty; daughter, Tammy Strot (Brett); daughter, Heather McGee (Mike); son, Thomas Daugherty (Gabby); son, David Fowler (Rebeccah); son, Jonah Daugherty; grandchildren: Whittney (David), Johnathan, Hailie, Alexis, Kirra, Hunter, Thomas, Paul, Savanneah, Maverick, Aspen, Logen, and Skyler; great-grandson, Valencio; and siblings: Paula Farmer, Sandra Henderson, Bobby Daugherty, and Earlene Guire. He is also survived by two special friends: Ricky Burns (Joyce) and Paul Colbert (Wanda), along with his loyal companions: his German Shepherd, Jasmyne, and his Australian Shepherd, Sadie.
A hard-working man all his life, Paul found pleasure in farm life after his retirement. He loved his land, cattle, horses, dogs, and even the labor involved in cutting, bailing, and storing hay for winter feeding. All the while, he was a good husband, father, brother, friend, and neighbor. Loved dearly, Paul will surely be missed.
Funeral services will be held at 4 P.M. on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at New Hope Ministries Church of God with Paula Farmer and Michael Addison officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery with Jonah, Maverick, Tommy, Paul, Johnathan, and Mike serving as pallbearers.
The family will gather from 1 – 2 P.M., and visitation for friends will follow from 2 – 4 P.M. on Saturday at New Hope Ministries Church of God, located at 8254 Old Barbourville Road Corbin, Kentucky 40701.
