Richard L. Harrison

Richard L. Harrison, 79, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024, at Baptist Health Corbin.  Born June 26, 1944, in Corbin he was the son of the late Henry and Sarah Bright Harrison.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lois Parman; sister, Tommie Owens; brother, Jack Harrison; sister, June Farmer; brother Jimmy Harrison; and sister, Katie Cox.

Richard leaves behind his children: Karen White (Andy), Rick Harrison, and Michael Harrison (Tonya); grandchildren: Zac White (Jessica), David Edwards, Dakota White, Sydney Stargel (Ben), Hannah Harrison, and Jessica (Yael) Gomez; and sister, Mary Ruth Jones.  He is also survived by other relatives and friends.

Richard was a veteran of the United States Army.  He was also retired from CSX Railroad.

Richard’s greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, March 8, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bobby Joe Eaton and Brett Martin officiating.  Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church on Thursday evening from 6 – 8 and Friday afternoon from 2:00 until the funeral hour at 3:00.
