Wanda Gean Elam
February 25, 1941 - November 11, 2023Wanda Gean Elam, age 82, of Winchester, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023, at her home.
She was born in Highsplit, Kentucky, on February 25, 1941, to the late Bradford and Dorothy (Taylor) Powell.
She was dedicated to her beloved family. She especially cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Wanda was an avid gardener, crafter, and baker. Wanda was very passionate about animals and was very much involved in many charities.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Franklin Elam; son, Frank (Lisa) Elam; son, Roy Elam; sisters: Janice Metzger, Betty McGrath, Glenda (Russell) Helton, and Anna (Terry) Seals; grandchildren: Shane Elam, Elizabeth Elam, Nathan Elam, John Elam and Timothy (Brittney) Beardsley; great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wanda was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, November 17, 2023, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Jason Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery with Jaiden Barnett, Shane Elam, Michael McGrath, Phil Miller, Brian Metzger, Tim Elliott, Bryan Jones, and Nathan Elam serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. – 1 P.M. Friday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.
