Albert P. McVey, Sr.
July 26, 1918 - September 9, 2014Albert P. McVey, age 96, of Louisville, passed away at Signature Healthcare South in Louisville on Thursday, September 9, 2014.
Born July 26, 1918, he was the son of the late Ancil and Grace McVay.
He served in the United States Army Air Corps during WW ll. Over the years, his interests included fishing and music, especially playing the guitar.
In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby.
Survivors include his son, Albert P. McVey, Jr., and wife Cheryl; 2 granddaughters: Michelle Myers and Rebecca McVey; 3 great-grandchildren: Zachary, Nicholas, and Caroline Myers; and nephew, Dr. James Parrott. He leaves behind other family members and many friends, all to mourn his passing.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 13, 2014, in Resthaven Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
