Annetta Green

August 22, 1942 - December 25, 2020

Annetta Green, 78, of Wallins Creek, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at Harlan ARH Friday, December 25, 2020. Born August 22, 1942, in Perry County, she was the daughter of the late Oakley and Ollie Sizemore McFadden.

In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by two children: Edna Walters and William Green; her husband, Bobby Green; and four sisters: Faye Helton, Opal Hensley, Clara Cress, and Mary Lee Tuttle; and a special nephew, Donnie Tuttle.

She was a beloved sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She believed in the Pentecostal faith and loved to study the word of God.

Annetta loved to watch UK basketball and the television program, Sanford and Son. She also enjoyed being outside in the garden and watching the birds as they came and went. Over the years, she had been employed at Pops Cafe and the Village Canter Mall in the laundromat, but Annette most loved her job delivering for Meals on Wheels.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children: Donnie Green and wife Pearl of Monticello, Kentucky; Gene Green and wife Bernadine of Wallins Creek, Kentucky; Dean Green of Wallins Creek, Kentucky; Joe Green and wife Rose of Pathfork, Kentucky; Angie Bailey and husband Spencer of Wallins Creek, Kentucky; and Lois Fraley and husband Jerry of Louisville, Kentucky. She is also survived by a sister, Leena McFadden of Corbin, Kentucky; a special nephew, Ronnie Tuttle of Texas; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many friends, to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 31, 2020, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Jeremy Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily, Kentucky.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    She got the best Christmas gift of all. She gained her wings. My heart is breaking.

    The world has lost a great woman. She accepted people as they were. She loved people the way Jesus taught us to love. I know her family will miss her in so many ways. I feel fortunate to have known Annetta. Her prayers for all of us will now be said from heaven.
