Barbara Jean Mason, age 82, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed to our Heavenly Father on February 5, 2026, at Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin, surrounded by family. She was born March 21, 1943, in E. St. Louis, Illinois.

She was of the Baptist faith. Barbara was retired from Tremco/Truseal in Barbourville, Kentucky, where she had worked for over 40 years.

She enjoyed all genres of music, concerts and dance, horses, and the beauty of ice skating. She was also an avid reader. Passionate about her family, she was happiest when spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her Truseal family, as well. She was blessed with the riches of love.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Lona Mae DeBra; her loving husband, Claude Mason, Jr.; grandson, Billy Ryan Cain; grandson, Austin Trey Mason; and sister, Dennie Helou.

Survivors include her seven children: Lisa (Roger) Van Winkle, Mckee, Kentucky, Claudette (Wade) Mitchell, Corbin, Kentucky, Tammy Mahan, Corbin, Kentucky, William Mason, Corbin, Kentucky, Cheryl Mason, Corbin, Kentucky, Kim (Mike) Wagner, Corbin, Kentucky , and Claude Mason III; loving sister and best friend, Carolyn (Susie) Bateman; loving brother, Eddie DeBra; a very special brother-in-law, Benny Mason; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 9, 2026, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with George White officiating. Burial will follow at Gray Cemetery in Gray, Kentucky, with Anthony Mitchell, Jonah Mitchell, Sidney Wagner, Tyler Wagner, Josh Mason, and Darick Knuckles serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Van Winkle, Wade Mitchell, and Mike Wagner.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 9, 2026, at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    Barbara was the most beautiful person you could lay your eyes on
    Her & Claude jr were always there for you if you needed anything- there door was always open for you no matter what
    We stayed with them many a time when we’ were in Ky.
    We are gonna miss you Barb

    I worked with Barbara at Tremco/Truseal for 20 years. She was a special person and friend. We exchanged books and spent many an hour talking. When I left Truseal for other employment we lost touch but I never forgot my friend and how special she was. Rest In Peace my Friend.
