Betty Barton
April 30, 1931 - May 18, 2015Betty Barton, 84, of Corbin passed away Monday, May 18, 2015, at Baptist Health Corbin. She was a member of Steeles Chapel Christian Church.
Born April 30, 1931, in Whitley County, she was the daughter of the late Cletious and Dorthy Snyder. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings: Kenneth “Pejib” Snyder, Sonya Lee, Lonnie Snyder, and Wayne Snyder; and a great-granddaughter Mary Jo Foley.
She is survived by her husband Walter Barton, daughter Joetta Jackson, granddaughter Tracy Foley and husband Gregg, two great-granddaughters: Danni Grace Foley and Maci Beth Foley, three sisters: Jonell Harris, Shirley Smith and husband Bill, and Linda Brewer, and one brother: Bruce Snyder and wife Debbie, as well special nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 20, 2015, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Andrew Darden and Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
Burial will follow in Worley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, Inc., located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
