Brenda Gilbert Hammons
May 26, 1950 - August 20, 2025Brenda Gilbert Hammons, 75, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at UK Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Gilbert; her parents, L.L. and Audrey Jones; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Clarence and Juanita Gilbert; and her brother-in-law, Jimmy Gilbert.
Brenda leaves behind her husband, Glen Hammons of Corbin, Kentucky; daughters: Michelle Gilbert and Felicia Bates (Garry) both Corbin, Kentucky; brother, Larry Jones (Linda) of Corbin, Kentucky; sister, Diane Thomas of Crestline Ohio; granddaughter, Kristien Woolum (Christian) of Corbin, Kentucky; and grandson, Garry Isaac Bates, Jr. (LeAnne)) of London Kentucky; great-granddaughters, Gabriella and Everleigh Woolum of Corbin, Kentucky; great-grandsons, Oliver Woolum of Corbin, Kentucky and Jay Bates of London Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who will mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 24, 2025, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Andrew Darden officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Sunday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
