Brenda Kaye Thomas
May 24, 1943 - December 30, 2023Brenda Kaye Thomas, 80, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2023. Born May 24, 1943, in Harlan County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Corinne Carter.
Kaye was a devoted, long-time member of Indian Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, especially quilting. Growing flowers also brought her much joy. Most of all, she loved her family and spending time with them.
In addition to her father and mother, Kaye was preceded in death by two brothers: Rod Carter and Gary Carter; her step-daughter, Latisha Egner; and her brother-in-law, Joe Walters.
She leaves behind her son, Marty Thomas and wife Jan; son, Mike Thomas and wife Lisa; granddaughter, Sara Trent and husband Ryan; granddaughter, Rachel Thomas; grandson, Isaac Thomas; two great-grandchildren: Connor Trosper and Jaxon Trent; and sister, Janis Walters. She is also survived by several nieces, nephew, and friends.
Kaye was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Fuson and Jimmy Siler officiating. Burial will follow in Campbell Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.
