Carl Lee Barton
December 2, 1933 - October 22, 2023Carl Lee Barton, age 89, passed away October 22, 2023, at his home in Corbin, Kentucky. He was born in Corbin on December 2, 1933.
Carl was an Army veteran and a retired postal clerk for the U. S. Postal Service. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Jesse Lee Barton and Willie Marie Mobley Barton, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Effie Burke, Ida Townsend, and Lena Hammons; and stepson, Earl Howard Roaden.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Joyce Thomas Barton; brother, Charles Eldred Barton; daughter, Tammy Harless; stepdaughter, Beverly Likins (Phil); stepsons: Ralph Roaden Jr., (Dorothy) and Calvin Roaden (Jill); grandchildren: Mona Alsip, Nicki Lawson (Tim), Josh Roaden (Amanda), Jared Roaden (Chelsea), Craig Roaden, Rachelle Roaden, Danyelle Edwards (Eric), Elizabeth Likins-Smith (Robbie), Amber Payton (Justin), Shanda Tallant, Shawn Faulkner; several great-grandchildren including Tyler Felts, Kobe Lawson, Whitley Roaden, Bowie Likins-Smith, Kinsley Edwards, Ryland Edwards, Mason Payton, Lilly Payton, Makayla Tallant, and Jacob Tallant; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Carl was loved by his family and will be deeply missed.
No public funeral services will be held.
