Christine J. Wagner
December 18, 1945 - December 18, 2021Christine J. Wagner, 76, of Corbin passed away December 18, 2021. Born December 18, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mossie Jackson.
Christine worked at Elicon in Corbin until it closed and then ran Sunrise Tanning.
In addition to her father and mother, Christine was preceded in death by a son, Vester “Ray” Wagner; and nine siblings: Edith Jackson, Kathy Miracle, Earnest Jackson, Kenneth Jackson, Jessie Jackson, Clellan Jackson, Sharon Jackson Nance, Earl Jackson, and Wanda White.
Christine is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Vester “Sonny” Wagner; daughter, Elisha Mitchell and husband Mike; and son, Mike Wagner and wife Kim. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; and five siblings: Arnold Jackson, Pauline Jackson, Carolyn Miracle, Larry Jackson, and Jimmy Jackson, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 21, 2021, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Dennis McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery with Robert Mitchell, Tyler Wagner, Sidney Wagner, Breckon Mitchell, Mike Mitchell, and Larry Jackson serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home,
