Clarice Logan

June 25, 1930 - January 27, 2022

Clarice Logan, 91, of Corbin passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Corbin Health and Rehabilitation Center.  Born June 25, 1930, in Knox County, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Bessie Mackey.

In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Logan, in 2013.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for many years.

Clarice thoroughly enjoyed her role as a homemaker over the years, especially cooking her family’s favorite meals.  Also, growing and canning vegetables, along with tending to her flowers, brought her much pleasure.

She leaves behind her son, David Logan and wife Sherry; son, Tim Logan and wife Donna; grandchildren: Matthew Logan and wife Jessica, Staci Davison and husband Zach; Hannah Logan, and Hunter Logan; great-grandchildren: Logan Davidson, Ryker Davidson, Bronx Logan, Bristol Logan, and Rilyn Davidson; brother, Arvalee Mackey and wife Billie; sister, Sadie Smith; and sister-in-law, Rea Logan; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Clarice was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Hill Family Cemetery with Josh Pollitt officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    Clarice was a true Christian lady. She was our first Sunday school teacher at CBC. She was a very good teacher whom we loved dearly. You will be missed Clarice. Our prayers to the family!

    Your mother was a sweet, kind lady. She was a pleasure to sit and visit with and hear the stories of long ago. She took great pride in her family.

    Clarice taught me so much about the Word in our Bible study. She had so much wisdom. She was my spiritual Mother! I loved her deeply! I will cherish her friendship and the notes that I have in her handwriting. Clarice you will forever be missed! My sympathy and prayers to the family!
