Deloris Jean Brock

January 12, 1947 - December 22, 2022

Deloris Jean Brock, 75, of London passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, at her home.  Born January 12, 1947, in Pineville, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Johnny and Mellie Hoskins.

Deloris was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who thoroughly enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking their favorite foods.  Although her family enjoyed everything that she prepared, some of their favorite dishes were fried chicken, biscuits and gravy, and dressing.  Deloris also found pleasure in browsing flea markets and growing vegetables and flowers for which she seemed to have a “green thumb.”

In addition to her father and mother, Deloris was preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon; daughter, Brenda; grandson, Mark; great-grandson, B.J.; six sisters: Carrie, Myrtle, Alice, Lucy, Ada, and Fronnie; two brothers: Ed and Hubert; her first husband, Thurman J. Brock, who was the father of her children; and her second husband, Jerry Hatfield, who was like a father to her children.

Deloris leaves behind her loving family: son, Rodney; daughter, Lisa (Dean); son, Jimmy (Regina); daughter, Melina (Randy); son, Russell (Chrissy); 16 grandchildren: Tiff, Dewayne, Crystal, Darrell, Regina, Jimmy, Cody, Naicol, Deloris, Beth, April, Jerika, Ben, Mark, Kyria, and Brooke; 33 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild expected in June.

Deloris was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 27, 2022, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Scott Gaines and Kenny Johnson officiating.  Burial will follow in East Colony Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Rodney Brock, Russell Brock, Ben Brock, Brandon Wagers, Darrell Blevins, Cameron Blevins, Jimmy Brock, and Cody Brock.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. Monday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
