John Long
August 25, 1937 - August 3, 2023John Long, age 85, of Fairfield, Ohio, passed away Thursday, August 3, 2023, at Daniel Drake Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was born August 25, 1937, in Jonesville, Virginia, the son of the late Willard and Nan (Marcum) Long.
Mr. Long worked for Ford Motor Company for 41 years and had been retired for 21 years. He was a faithful member of the Rolling Hills Baptist Church.
He loved working on cars, boating, and spending his winters in Florida.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Long; his daughter, Shawna (Bobby) Sheehan; his son, Ricky (Tina) Monhollen; and his grandchildren: Jonathan (Rylee) Woods , Bryant Sheehan, Garrett (Becca) Sheehan, Carson Sheehan, and Nicole Monhollen.
Mr. Long was preceded in death by his brother, William Kenneth Long and his son, Jeff Long.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Pleas Monhollen Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky, with Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.
