Dorothy Douglas

June 12, 1931 - December 26, 2021

Dorothy Douglas of London Kentucky, mother of David (Carletta) Douglas of London and James (Pam) Douglas of Greenmount, was born on June 12, 1931 in Middlesboro, Kentucky and died on December 26, 2021 at Laurel Nursing Home in London, Kentucky.  Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband David on August 4, 2020.  They had been married for over 71 years at the time of his death.  Dorothy and David moved from Harlan, Kentucky to Corbin in 1960 and spent the next 45 years living and working in Corbin.  Dorothy was a retired American Greetings employee.  Dorothy and David were very active in Parkway Church of God, Dorothae Pentecostal Church and London Parkway Praise Center during their time in Corbin.  In 2005 Dorothy moved to Winchester, Kentucky to be near her son, David, who was pastor of the Winchester Church of God Cathedral.  Dorothy moved back to London in August of 2018.

Dorothy is survived by sons David (Carletta) Douglas of London, and James (Pam) Douglas of Greenmount. Dorothy is also survived by two grandchildren and their spouses; David Kent (Lora) Douglas of Cleveland, Tennessee and Danielle (Mike) Roark of Georgetown Kentucky. Six great-grandchildren were loved greatly by Dorothy: Hannah (Daniel) Hamilton of Louisville Kentucky, Mikaela Roark (Lexington), Hope Douglas, Gabrielle Douglas, Joshua Douglas and Daniel Douglas all of Cleveland Tennessee. She is also survived by her brother, Willard (Greta) Killion of Charleston, South Carolina, sister Cleo Hail of Keavy, Kentucky, and brother Charles Killion of Middlesboro, Kentucky.  Dorothy also leaves behind a host of other relatives and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband David of London and her parents Charles and Faye Killion of Pineville Kentucky.  There will be a Memorial Service at the Parkway Ministries Church of God at 510 E. Cumberland Gap Parkway, Corbin, Kentucky.  The Memorial Service will be on Sunday January 2, 2022 with visitation starting at 3 pm and the memorial service at 4 pm.  The Memorial Service will be to honor both Dorothy and David, who preceded her in death.
