Dorothy L. Taylor
December 13, 1928 - June 28, 2020Dorothy L. Taylor, 91, of Corbin passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020, at her home. She was born December 13, 1928, in Leslie County.
Always an attentive and caring homemaker, she loved her family who will definitely affirm that her culinary skills included the best of the best chicken and dumplings and shuck beans.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Sfc Lloyd Taylor; mother, Opal King; father, Gilbert Malicoat; sister, Doris Scott; and grandson, Dustin Waters.
She leaves behind two sons: Robert Lee Taylor (Tammy) of Estill Springs, TN, and Tony Taylor (Barbie) of Corbin; seven grandchildren: Robbie Taylor (Malaina), Nicholas Taylor (Colby), Brandi Disney (Ed), Tara Young (Derrick), Dylan Taylor (Tabitha), Megan Taylor, and Alan Bunch (Amy); and eight great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 1, 2020, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Darris Broughton officiating. Burial will be follow in Corinth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin. CDC guidelines are posted at the funeral home for those attending the services.
