Faye E. Pickard

April 15, 1934 - November 5, 2023

Faye E. Hedrick Pickard, 89, of Corbin, Kentucky, went home to be with her Lord and Savior while at U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, on Sunday, November 5, 2023.

Faye, throughout her life, was a devoted wife, loving daughter and mother, proud grandmother, and wonderful sister, aunt, and friend. While she was smart and witty, and also an avid reader, she more importantly was a faithful prayer warrior, who read her Bible daily. She was a dedicated member of New Hope Ministries Church of God in Corbin. Faye loved her Sunday School class and until recently, her ministry consisted of sending cards of encouragement, love and sympathy, and birthday cards to her family and friends. She blessed so many through her thoughtfulness and kindness.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Bettie Hedrick; her husband, Dennis Pickard; her son, Steve Fleming; and her sister, Debbie Hedrick.

She is survived by her other son, Steve Pickard (Stacey); her daughter, Selinda Gross (Donnie); her two grandsons: Brad Fleming (Sarah) of Henderson, Kentucky, and Chad Fleming (Cate) of Hawaii; several great-grandchildren; her incredibly devoted brothers and sisters: Ann Litteral, Alma Henderlight Burner, Jim Hedrick (Linda) of Nolensville, Tennessee.; Russell Hedrick (Jane), Lois Cathers (David), Linda King (Norwood), and Pat Mitchell (Murrell); a caring brother-in-law, John Bishop (Pam); a lifelong friend of 75 years, Muriel Johnson; and a sweet, dear friend, Pam Quick. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom she has prayed for and who will miss her dearly.

A celebration of Faye’s life will be held in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 9, 2023, with Paula Farmer, Michael Addison, and Samuel Lawson officiating. Burial will follow the Celebration of Life at Rest Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. Wednesday, November 8th at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street Corbin, KY 40701.
