Finley “Peanut” Williams

Finley Arnold Williams, 81, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at his son’s residence in Barbourville, Kentucky.  Affectionately known as “Peanut,” he was born September 29, 1941, in Harlan County to the late Lee and Vera Edna Williams.

He was a member of Lily Church of Christ.  Before retirement, he lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he worked for National Starch.  He was a Freemason and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Peanut leaves behind his loving wife, Eula Faye Williams, whom he married on November 26, 1959; daughter, Cathy Lucas of Plainfield, Indiana; daughter, Regina Williams of Danville, Indiana; daughter, Janet Evans (Kenny) of Columbus, Indiana; son, Chester “Chip” Williams (Heather) of Barbourville, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren, as well as other family members and many friends.

Peanut was dearly loved and will be deeply missed.

A private celebration of life will be planned at a later time.

Hart Funeral Home is assisting the family.

    He was such a good man, a great friend and a great teacher. He will be missed by all that knew him
