Gladys Eileen Cash, 91, of Danville (formerly of Corbin) passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017. She was the oldest founding member of 19th Street Church of Christ.

Born May 20, 1925, in Woodbine, she was the daughter of the late Obed and Nettie Poynter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vance Cash; daughter, Jeannie Cash; two sisters: Floy Brown and Norma Skeen; and two brothers-in-law: Clelleon Brown and Wesley Skeen.

She leaves behind her daughter, Sherry Rodgers and husband Tom of Danville; son, Michael Cash of Speedwell, TN; two grandchildren: Matthew Rodgers and Amy Schott and husband Dan; two great grandchildren: Carver Schott and Tinsley Schott; nephew: Jerry Brown and wife Judy, as well as other relatives and many friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, April 30, 2017, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerry Brown, Bro. David Scott, and Amy Schott officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M until the 2:00 P.M. funeral hour at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    Gladys was a fine and generous Christian lady. Linda and I remember her fondly from our days in Corbin.
    You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
