Hazel Miller Sutton

January 7, 1932 - August 15, 2021

Hazel Miller Sutton of Williamsburg passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021.  She lived to be 89 years, 7 months, and 8 days of age.

Born January 7, 1932, in Knox County, Hazel was the daughter of the late Duke and Mary Jane Hill Miller.  In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Sutton; father-in-law and mother-in-law, W.L. and Carrie Mullis Sutton; daughter, Brenda Gail; three sisters, and two brothers.

She leaves behind to mourn her passing her daughter, Nadine Floyd and husband Gary; daughter, Caroline Carpenter and husband Jerry; son, Chester Sutton, Jr., and wife Barbara; daughter, Debbie Inman and husband Roger; daughter, Mary Helton and husband Wayne; daughter, Margie Waldschmidt and husband Patrick; daughter, Marcia Carter and husband Anthony; 12 grandchildren: Heather King, Nicholas Floyd and wife Jaime, William Carpenter, Brandon Sutton, Craig Inman and wife Cindy, Travis Inman and wife Nicole, Jayna Inman and husband Michael, Emilee and Joseph Waldschmidt, Garrett Carter and wife Carolina, and Hope and Holly Carter; 15 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Friday, August 20, 2021, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Dale Phipps officiating.  Burial will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 P.M. Thursday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

    Sending sincere condolences to everyone. I know she would never believe how much she is and will always be love by so many, “Haze” was inspiration to everyone, Setting the perfect example to strive to be, I can’t almost hear her an Mom laughing like they used to. So sorry I can’t be there but, sending love and hugs to everyone.
