James Edward “Jim” Eaton, 80, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away peacefully February 3, 2026, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.  He was born March 17, 1945, in Corbin, Kentucky.

Jim was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church.  He enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds, NASCAR Racing, going to auctions, and tending the garden with his family.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Eaton and Lizzie Philpot Eaton; two brothers: Howard Eaton and Willard Eaton; and two sisters: Geraldine Watters and Mary Hensley.

Survivors include two brothers: Bobby Joe Eaton (Charlotte) and Arthur Eaton; and three sisters: Lorene Martin (Harold), Ilene Mullins, and Goldie Monhollen.

Jim was loved and will be missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 7, 2026, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Joe Eaton officiating.  Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 – 2 P.M. Saturday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street
