Leona S. (Angel) Elliott
February 7, 1926 - May 17, 2019Leona S. (Angel) Elliott, 93, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019, at Lima Memorial Convalescent in Lima, OH.
Born February 7, 1926, in Cincinnati, OH, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Angel and Mossie (Lanham) Angel. On July 23, 1942, in Knox County, KY, she married James Edward Elliott who preceded her in death. Leona most enjoyed being with her family and her nursing career.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Loredith (Elliott) Curtis; a brother; and two sisters.
Survivors include her daughters: Marie (Elliott) Ferrell, Vernice (Elliott) Wirtz, and Melissa (Ellliott) Bates; grandchildren: Rhonda Taulhman, Brian Curtis, Andrea Miller, Timothy Ferrell, Tammy Hanna, Tonya Sterling, Christy McGuire, Larry Cox, Angela Herald, Lauren Bates, and Nicholas Bates; 24 great grandchildren, and many loving great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 21, 2019, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. Tuesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.
