Levi Hoskins

December 12, 1922 - September 24, 2017

 

Levi Hoskins, 94, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2017, at Laurel Heights Nursing Home in London, KY.  He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

The son of the late W.B. and Belle Hoskins, he was born December 12, 1922, in Bell County, KY, but grew up in Loyall, KY.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in WW II.  Before retirement, he worked as a conductor on the L & N Railroad.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Martha Horn Hoskins; by six brothers: Clarence Hoskins, Obie Hoskins, Arthur Hoskins, Chester Hoskins, Esau Hoskins, and Clyde Hoskins; and by three sisters: Nettie Blanton, Minnie Greynolds Stafford, and Oma Ball.

He leaves behind two special nieces: Patsy Worley and Debbie Cook, and several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 27, 2017, in the Hart Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jack Willis officiating.  Burial will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens at Lily with nephews serving as pallbearers.  

The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. until the funeral hour at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at Hart Funeral Home, located at 1011 Master Street in Corbin.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Future Generations Building Fund at Central Baptist Church 201 W. 4th Street Corbin, KY 40701.
